Callie Nissing is a rising senior at the University of Washington, double majoring in Spanish and CHID (Comparative History of Ideas). She also has a passion for dance, which she considers an extremely influential part of her educational development. Within her majors, Callie intends to use her interdisciplinary interests to promote innovation within the education system, specifically focusing on arts integration and supplementary education. Aside from her research and classes, she is the event director for UW’s Hip Hop Student Association and spends most of her free time dancing, usually ballet, hip hop or something in between. She also enjoys vegan cooking, outdoorsy activities and speaking Spanish when given the opportunity.
